PLAIN ENGLISH PRIVACY
Privacy Notice
Effective and last updated: August 31, 2026
The short version
Your decision question and ten selected answers are handled in the active browser page. The app does not send that content to the Operator or save it to an account or database.
1. Scope
This Privacy Notice explains how BenFranklinClose.com, an independent personal project operated by Ciaran Paul Roche, handles information when you visit and use the site. It does not govern a salesperson, company, or other person who may show you the tool. Ask that person directly about their own records and privacy practices.
2. Decision content
The decision question, selected answers, and displayed result are processed locally in the active browser page. The site does not transmit that content to the Operator. It is not placed in an Operator-controlled account or database. Refreshing or closing the page clears that active session from the app.
Someone physically present with you may still see what appears on your screen. Use care when entering sensitive information on a shared device, in a public place, or during a meeting.
3. What we do not use, and optional analytics
We do not provide user accounts, advertising, marketing pixels, behavioral analytics, or email sign-up forms. We do not sell or rent personal information. The app does not use cookies or local or session storage to remember or profile your decision.
Google Analytics is completely unloaded unless you choose “Allow analytics.” If allowed, it records page views and ordinary engagement information such as the page address and title, referring site, approximate location, and browser or device type. It does not receive your decision question, selected answers or result. An Analytics identifier stored in your browser helps distinguish visits.
Advertising storage, Google signals and ad-personalisation signals remain disabled. Automatic site-search and form-interaction measurement are also disabled. Consent is the legal basis. You may decline without losing any feature and can change or withdraw your choice through the “Privacy choices” button; withdrawal also removes accessible Google Analytics cookies from this site. Google may process Analytics data in the United States and other countries under its data-processing terms and applicable transfer safeguards.
4. Ordinary technical data
Like nearly every website, the hosting and network providers that deliver and protect this site may process ordinary technical data, such as an IP address, device or browser information, request time, requested page, and security or error events. That data may be used to operate, secure, debug, and prevent abuse of the service, subject to the providers’ own terms and legal obligations.
5. Email
If you contact us by email, we receive the address, message, and information you choose to include. We use it to answer the message, protect the site, and keep records where reasonably necessary. Do not email confidential decision content unless you intend to share it.
6. External links
The site links to historical and decision-support sources operated by other organizations. If you follow one of those links, that organization may receive ordinary request information and its own privacy practices apply.
7. Children
The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. A parent or guardian who believes a child sent personal information by email may contact us to request deletion.
8. Security and retention
No website can promise absolute security. Because decision content remains in the active browser page and is not submitted to us, we do not retain that content. Technical records and emails, if any, may be retained only as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and security.
9. Your privacy requests
Because the Operator does not receive decision content, we cannot retrieve, review, or delete it. If applicable law gives you rights concerning other personal information we hold, such as an email you sent us, contact us and we will respond as required.
10. Changes
We may revise this Notice as the site changes. The updated date at the top shows when the current version took effect. A material change to how decision content is handled will be stated clearly before the changed practice begins.
11. Contact
Privacy questions may be sent to CiaranPaulRoche@gmail.com.
